In the early 1960’s Edward E. Wine quit his job as a Manassas postman to enter the sheet metal and plumbing business full time. Some of the hometown people thought our dad was crazy.

He was installing heating and plumbing systems in local homes and churches and was doing very well. After two years dad was approached by the Humble Oil & Refining Co. (now Exxon) to sell heating oil in the Manassas area. Humble felt sales and delivery of their oil would fit right in with his sheet metal business.

Dad agreed and beginning with only five accounts given him by Humble Oil, he went door-to-door drumming up new business. At the end of the first year, with mom at the books, they sold an impressive 166,000 gallons of heating oil. In just four years they surpassed the 1 million gallon mark.

By 1973 the incorporated, purchasing Humbles tanks and equipment, and took direct control of local accounts.

Our oldest brother Don became president in 1978 and the company continues to expand, offering a growing variety of energy related services to Northern Virginia residents.

Today, EE Wine Inc sells more than 5.5 million gallons of heating oil and other petroleum products every year. We employ more than 30 service-conscious individuals, operate a fleet of 18 truck and vehicles, and serve nearly 3500 residential and commercial customers throughout Manassas and nearby Warrenton.

But success and continued growth haven’t spoiled our friendly family atmosphere. As always, quality products and courteous professional service remain hallmarks of E.E. Wine Inc.
